Australian Culinary Trend Predictions for 2012
Source: www.ausfoodnews.com.au

We were lucky enough to stumble upon PR agency Weber Shandwick’s inaugural ‘Food Forward 2012’ food trend report, identifying four big trends which will shape Australia’s food culture in 2012. We felt it a great way to contrast the views of panel members (which included James Sexton and Richard Ousby) at the Horticulture Australia Limited (HAL) Forum at Sheraton on the Park, Sydney last month.
2011 Winners Richard Ousby & James Sexton on FoodinFocus with Natascha Moy

Richard Ousby, James Sexton and Phee Gardner (Project Director) were invited onto Food in Focus on Radio 89.7FM by the lovely Natascha Moy. Richard, the youngest of the chefs featured presented a delicious summer berry dessert that reflected his food philosophy. He provided some fantastic entertainment with his 'alchemist' creation using liquid nitrogen in the radio studio, something that we wouldn't necessarily recommend at home!
foodService Magazine Announced Australia B2B Magazine of the Year

We were very excited to hear that on Friday night; 11 November, Appetite for Excellence Media Partner foodService magazine was announced Business2Business Magazine of the Year at the 2011 Publishers Australia Excellence Awards.
Both the magazine and Anthony Huckstep, the editor of foodService, have been incredibly supportive of the young talent that has been involved in the programme and the industry overall. It is great to see a magazine and its driving force who is passionate about the industry be rewarded for their vision and commitment.
foodService magazine was one of five finalists for The Excellence Award up against Vogue Living, Mumbrella, Qantas custom and Marie Claire. Editor Anthony Huckstep spoke about this year's success: "Here at foodService we are incredibly lucky that the magazine is about an industry that believes in sharing knowledge. Without the industry's belief in the magazine and its willingness to offer leads and contribute at the drop of a hat, we'd be nothing."
Anthony would like to send out a big thank you to all the nation's chefs, waiters, sommeliers, cafe owners and restaurateurs for their commitment to creating a magazine that's both inspirational and influential.
A huge congratulations to Anthony Huckstep and the entire team at foodService magazine for their valiant efforts this year an on-going support of and dedication to the Australian hospitality industry!
Keep updated with Australian hospitality news with foodService magazine.
